Lawnbott can mow all times of the day or night. The grass can be slippery, especially in the early morning before the dew has burned off. The spiked wheels look good and help the Lawnbott have better traction at these times. If your lot has hilly terrain, the wheel upgrade is essential because at times when the grass is somewhat damp, additional traction ensures a successful climb. The spiked wheels are added to the outside of the standard wheels and are very easy to install yourself. Spiked wheels are compatible with LB3210, LB3250 and LB2150. |
Should I purchase a wheel upgrade? |
|
Three Lawnbott models have expandable coverage: the LB3510, the LB3210 and the LB2150. That is, you can add battery(ies) at the time of purchase or later. If you decide to purchase a battery upgrade for the LB3510, you must purchase two batteries. The LB3210 and LB2150 have only one battery expansion slot. Follow the easy measurement methods to determine whether you need to add one or two Lithium Ion batteries. Lithium Ion rechargeable battery technology is newer, more environmentally friendly and widely adopted in rechargeable devices like cell phones and lap tops. Remember to dispose of old batteries at a battery recycling center rather than in the trash. |
Do I need an extra battery? |
|
This accessory is required for keeping your battery in top condition over the winter. If you live in an area of the country where grass grows year-round, then you do not need this accessory. |
How about the winter charger kit? |

If your lawn requires more than 1500 feet of perimeter wire, you will need to purchase the signal booster. The signal booster may help if you choose to bury the perimeter wire. The wire can be buried up to four inches. The signal booster may improve performance when the wire is buried. |

A new, sharp blade ensures top mulching performance, which means better lawn fertilization. A sharp blade may also increase mowing time because less resistance on the blade means more energy is reserved for the wheels. Purchase an extra blade with your initial order so you will have one on hand next year. Blade replacement is simple and easy to do yourself. All Lawnbott replacement blades are reversible for longer blade life. Sharpening blades is not recommended, although some Lawnbott owners do this. Contact us for information. |

First, determine the size of the grass area to be mowed. The larger your lawn, the more your robot mower will cost. If you want the best and love having all the bells and whistles, there is nothing wrong with selecting a more expensive model for a smaller-sized lawn. Next, decide if you plan to mow manually (i.e. drop and go) or if you want fully automatic operation. All models can be installed as “drop and go”, however, the LB2150, LB3210 & LB3510 have the best features for complicated lawns and the most flexible mowing schedule. Then, consider whether you would like to purchase a GPS theft recovery module. We do not sell the module but we will tell you where to buy it and we charge a small fee for assistance connecting it to your robot. The GPS theft recovery module does not fit in the Spyder Lawnbott. You might consider purchasing the new LB75 since it is GPS anti-theft capable. Call us! We will help you decide... 1-847-960-8520 |

Lawnbott Order Assistance |

The easiest way to determine if you need more perimeter wire is to perform Step 3 of the Installation Overview. Now that you know what areas you want the mower to avoid, you know the areas where you need to make some measurements. Use the figure in Step 4 of the Installation Overview as a guideline and measure the additional perimeter wire lengths with a tape measure. Next, measure your lot or obtain your lot dimensions from your “plat of survey”. Add up the lot dimensions and the additional measurements you took above. This will be the total amount of perimeter wire you need. Purchase 200 pegs for each additional 500 feet of wire your lawn requires. |

Lawnbott Blade has eight sharp edges. |
Do I need a cover for the charging base? |
|
All models except Lawnbott Spyder come with a recharging garage, except the LB3510 which only comes with the base. If you are not installing your LB3510 under a deck or in a shed, purchase the recharging base cover to protect it from the elements. |
Why should I purchase a remote? |
|
Usually your Lawnbott will keep your lawn mowed and a remote is not necessary. However, during the fast growing season the remote would be handy to drive the Lawnbott to unmowed patches of grass rather than wait for the Lawnbott to find them. A remote is also handy if you have sections of grass that are separate from the rest of your lawn so you can drive the Lawnbott to the other section rather than carry it. LB2150 is compatible with the RF remote but does not come with it. Order the remote control upgrade at time of purchase as it must be factory/dealer installed. |

What about troubleshooting? |

|
Problems with the wire are generally rare, but they do occur. Be prepared by having essential robotic lawn mower troubleshooting tools on-hand! We carry several low cost tools to help you maintain a good installation year after year. The digital multimeter is used for confirming full or partial breaks in the wire. It is also used for verifying the correct battery voltage on the charger, signal booster or battery. The wire break finding tool helps you locate a break in the perimeter wire very quickly. |
