Wheel motor brushes do wear out over time. It is important to change the wheel motor brushes over the Winter each year to extend motor life. It’s a hassle, but far less expensive than changing a motor. Wheel motor brushes are fairly easy to change with regular hand tools.

You can detect a wheel motor brush failure by noticing the wheel turning slowly. If one brush fails before the other, the Lawnbott will drive in circles. Run the motor test to see whether one motor is running more slowly than the other. Contact us to learn how to run the test.
