Once upon a time, in 2081, there was a domestic robot named Clancy. Clancy was a good home robot. He did most of the household chores. He washed the dishes, he vacuumed and cleaned the floors, he did the laundry, he mowed the lawn.

Clancy loved his owners, the Franks, a family of five. John and Jill Frank have three young children, Janey, age 9, John Jr., age 7, and Sylvia, age 5. His owners loved Clancy because they have a lot more time to themselves.

One day, while the family was gone and Clancy was vacuuming the floor crumbs from breakfast, Clancy heard a loud noise that sounded like “SWOOSH” followed by three pops: “POP, POP, POP”. Suddenly a beautiful fairy robot appeared. “Clancy,” she said in a voice as sweet as honey, “ I am here to give you some wonderful news.” Clancy just stared with his vacuum
